During the month of November, we pray for all our relatives and friends who have died. This year we remember especially all who have died during the past year from COVID–19 and from other causes. We pray that they have passed from death to life in the company of the Lord Jesus who died and rose to new life. We dedicate the month of November to their memory and commend them to the love and mercy of God, Our Father. In our darkest moments, the risen Christ is with us to bring us light and hope. We also pray too for those who died tragically or alone. We pray in the belief that our prayer makes a difference.
Lord of all gentleness, surround us with your care, and comfort us in our sorrow. It is our certain faith that your son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, was raised from the dead. Grant through this mystery, that all who have gone to their rest in Christ may share in the new life and the joy of his resurrection.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Our Love of God and Neighbour!
Today’s gospel brings us right to the heart of what a Christian life involves: love of God and of neighbour. Jesus tells us that having life both now and in the future is the fruit of living in a spirit of love. How have you experienced the power of love given, and received, as a source of life and vitality? If you were asked what is most important in life, what would your answer be? Recall the experiences and relationships you have had. Which are the ones that you treasure most? What has particularly enriched your life? How would you encourage another person who asked you how s/he could live a full life? Jesus praises the questioner as one who had answered wisely. Recall some of the wise people you have known, people who in their words and actions impressed you by the way they see and treasure what is important in life.

Clara Christmas Lights AGM will be held on Monday November 8th at 8.00pm in Pairc Phroinsias (Old Convent). Please come along and support our efforts to brighten up the town. We would love to see some new faces and hear some new ideas.
