‘For where Two or Three are Gathered together in My Name, there am I in the Midst of Them.’
In Today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches reconciliation through dialogue and accountability when conflicts persist. The gospel emphasizes unity, collective prayer and the assurance that God’s presence dwells where people gather in harmony and faith. The first step in restoring harmony is to listen. Not to argue, not to defend, but to truly hear the heart of another. When someone has wronged us or when we feel wounded, our instinct may be to retreat or retaliate. Yet healing begins when we approach with humility, opening our ears before opening our mouths. Listening allows us to see beyond the surface of the offense and into the deeper needs of the soul. It is in listening that we discover the pain behind the words, the fear behind the silence, and the longing behind the anger. No person is an island. We are woven into a tapestry of relationships, families, and communities. When conflict arises, it is not only between two individuals- it ripples outward, affecting the whole. To value community is to recognize that unity strengthens us, while division weakens us. It is to cherish the bonds that hold us together and to guard them with intentional care. Sometimes reconciliation requires the wisdom and support of others, and that is not a sign of failure but of strength. By involving trusted companions, we affirm that peace is not a private matter but a communal treasure. Valuing community means we protect the fellowship entrusted to us, ensuring that love remains the heartbeat of our gatherings. At the heart of reconciliation lies a profound promise: when we gather in love, the divine presence is among us. This truth transforms our efforts from mere human attempts into sacred encounters. Embracing divine presence means we do not walk the path of reconciliation alone. When we embrace this presence, we find courage to forgive, strength to persevere, and hope to rebuild. It is in this presence that brokenness becomes wholeness and estrangement becomes fellowship. To Listen with humility, Offer reconciliation, Value community, and Embrace divine presence is to walk in the rhythm of heaven’s harmony. Conflicts will come, misunderstandings will arise, but love has the power to transform them into opportunities for deeper connection. In doing so, we become living testimonies of grace, showing the world that reconciliation is possible, and that love truly conquers all…

Streamstown/Horseleap/Boher Active Retirement Group resumes on 15th September. We meet every two weeks in the Community Centre, Streamstown, and are open to both men and women. It’s a very informal Club in comfortable surroundings. We have exercises and talks on alternate weeks. We also hope to have trips away. We would like to welcome more members to the Club, so please encourage your families, neighbours and friends to attend. It is a wonderful way to meet friends and to alleviate loneliness in the Community.

Active Retired, Women’s Group & Toddler Group all return to the Clara Resource Centre week starting 7th of September.

Palliative Care Week, 6th-12th September is a campaign dedicated to raising public awareness and increasing understanding of palliative care and its benefits.

A Special Exit Collection will be taken at Masses next Saturday & Sunday 12th & 13th of September, for the support and care of the retired priests of our Diocese.
