The Sacrament of Confirmation

The Church Teaches:

The rite of Confirmation strengthens and confirms the grace which Catholics derive from Baptism. It is traditionally delayed until late childhood, to a time when the recipients can better grasp the significance of the sacrament. The sacrament connects believers more firmly to Christ and unites all who have received the sacrament as children of God.

Confirmation in Clara Parish

As with First Eucharist, children in the parish schools follow a program of preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. As with First Holy Communion, Confirmation occurs every year. The date is determined early in the academic year by the Bishop’s office and parents are notified through the respective schools.
Before they can receive the sacrament, all children need to have received both the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of the Eucharist
